Out of School- Episode 2

We are taking BricoRadio on the road! Follow us every month as our 4th-6th graders visit awesome, creative spaces around our neighborhood. Our young DJs will interview community leaders, record field reports, edit their own segments, and of course, produce catchy songs with every episode.

For our second “Out of School” episode, we were so lucky to get a behind the scenes look into the Louisiana Children’s Museum. Big shout out to the LCM staff for being such awesome hosts and teachers. Listen to show below!

We spent the last two weeks producing two episodes for the NPR Student Podcast Challenge. This week, we will share “Our New Monuments” from the 5th grade.

5th graders in Workshop investigated the removal of the four confederate monuments in the city and then collectively designed a plan on what should replace those now empty sites. Listen to their wide range of ideas below.
